18 yr old college student's daily wear. This is the type of stuff I wear on a day to day basis going to class, hanging around the dorms, etc. For going out to parties or if we are going to a bar, I'll obviously dress different. Thoughts on this type of clothing for day to day wear?

Ben Sherman zip up

J Crew solid color long sleeve tee

American Eagle jeans

Grey belt
Diesel shoes

wow, even TT thinks the velvet blazer is gay? I'm kind of surprised, actually.

regardless, it is a velvet blazer and it really is an egregious violation of heterosexuality.

other random thoughts..

- I was hating on Energie in the other fashion thread, but it seems like some rather hep cats think it's aight. I remain skeptical; "energie" sounds way too flaming for the time being

- I'm guessing I would slip into the 2-4 range, tops.

I like their jeans, but I tried finding a couple shirts or sweaters and they were too weird for me.

can you explain what situations a sweater/shirt or blazer/shirt are appropriate for? i was considering getting some of these top zip sweaters or regular sweaters for wearing over shirts but found that at least the regular sweater combos looked very tooly, especially for the situations i'm usually in. something like this pic below seems a lot more casual and is something i'm still considering, though -- what do you think?

so right now, i wear either sweater or shirt, never both.

i can't get digi pics atm, but what do you think of these JC jeans:

also, are there vast differences in cashmere quality between, say, Sam's Club sweaters and Loro Piana sweaters?

I dig the argyle (with the exception of what I'm assuming are random tags emblazoned with "Energie"); that is more my style.

that vest is a little bit too retro/hiptster/ghey, imo. reminds me a lot of what Michael wore in the "Beat It" video.

planned for tomorrow:

jeans from american eagle:

sweater from nordstrom:

diesel shoes:

watch (which may get left behind, haven't decided yet):

this is pretty standard for me, though buttondown shirt is more common than turtleneck sweater. also, any recs for a good casual belt? the ones i have seem to go with kakhis/slacks more than jeans.

The argyle is inside out actually. it's a weird shirt. it's a sweatshirt but the front panel is argyle. the rest of the shirt is sweatshirt style and the vneck comes down really low, like below my nipples (obv i wear a red undershirt).

I don't wear the vest much. Most of the time when I wear it it's to go out to dirty clubs where a bright red vest makes me look normal (damned ravers).
