Default party\'s take on disconnect abuse

Here is a hand I played that I believe was blatant disconnect protection abuse:

***** Hand History for Game XX *****
0/0 Texas Hold'em Game Table (NL) - Sat Sep 17 17:58:31 EDT 2005
Table Table 53785 (6 max) (Real Money) -- Seat 3 is the button
Total number of players : 6
Seat 1: XX( $1133.60)
Seat 2: XX( $810)
Seat 3: Pimp_Slapped ( $817.77)
Seat 4: XX( $600)
Seat 5: XX( $593.25)
Seat 6: XX( $1011.69)
XX posts small blind (3)
XX posts big blind (6)
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to me[ Qs, Qd ]
me raises (25) to 25
Pimp_Slapped calls (25)
XX folds.
XX calls (19)
** Dealing Flop ** : [ 5d, Qh, Ad ]
XX checks.
me bets (75)
Pimp_Slapped calls (75)
XX folds.
** Dealing Turn ** : [ 4h ]
me bets (200)
me: omg
Pimp_Slapped could not respond in time.(disconnected)
Pimp_Slapped Disconnect Protection enabled.
** Dealing River ** : [ 6c ]
me: report
Creating main pot with $226 with players Pimp_Slapped
** Summary **
Main Pot: $226 | Side Pot 1: $200 | Rake: $2
Board: [ 5d Qh Ad 4h 6c ]
XX balance $936, bet $300, collected $426, net +$126 [ Qs Qd ] [ three of a kind, queens -- Ad,Qs,Qd,Qh,6c ]
Pimp_Slapped balance $717.77, lost $100 [ Ac Kd ] [ a pair of aces -- Ac,Ad,Kd,Qh,6c ]

From Party:

"Using the information listed above we have investigated the history of player *Pimp_Slapped* thoroughly and have found that along with the hand you reported, the player has shown some sign of disconnecting at keys times. Although that might seem suspicious, the player has in fact not disconnected more than what might be normal with an internet connection"

Apparently if you only intentionally disconnect as much as someone with a bad internet connection its ok.

Yes, this is obviously the most glaring problem currently at Party. They should obviously just remove DP from the entire site. If you can't get a reliable internet connection, don't play.

my experiences are calling party and speaking with the investagitions dept. in the past more then half the time, pp has acted and taken away the player disconnection protection in perpetuity.

...or so they say. In a thread about 2 months ago, it was shown that a player who DP'd on me in a pot had had his DP "taken away" before, even with an email sent to a poster that was posted, and had numerous offenses vs other posters, yet he still had his DP, obviously.

Party doesn't care, period.

I can understand why this was a problem a month ago, but look at this:

Everyone knows there are tons of disconnect cheats on Party. So play at the No-DP Tables! It's not that frickin hard.

I think Tom gets it. If you want to play with the "fishy cheating idiots" that's just part of the price. Do you think they would all be there if they couldn't do that?

BTW, I friggin hate it, but that's how it is.

I have DSL, but once every couple of months the DSL goes screwy and I use all of my DP's. I wouldn't want to lose my DP for this.
