I think we have to consider limping behind the poster here. Thou there is a TAG in the BB so it could go either way. Flop raise is kind of riskay. A lot of the hands he's likely to have hit that flop and some others are calling anyway. He might flop either now or to a turn bet JJ-77. He might let AJ-AT go on the turn as well. The risk however is that he CR's you on the turn, which would really suck.

mind explaining your thinking on the flop? this is one of the worst flops possible for you...really seems like spewing to me.

What do you expect him to muck here? If he's got nines, tens, or jacks, I can see him maybe mucking on the turn if you fire again. Against a pf 3bet this looks like spewing to me, i might try this once in a while if he had called two cold.

Looks like spewing. This is a terrible flop for you against a preflop 3-bet. Your only chance is to fold out something like 99 or hope he had AJs and misses. Almost everybody is going to call this down, I would think.

A huge range of hands has you beat, and a tiny few may fold.

The problem is, JJ etc may peel, which requires a turn bet too, which is more money being injected.

I vote spew.

That pretty much sums up my feelings on this hand.

isnt the bb likely to see the raise after the co checks as a pure steal and therefore loosen up his 3betting standards? i kinda like the raise. if we're ahead, bb will probably fold to a non ace turn. if behind 33-JJ, firing again on the turn may get those better hands to fold. if the turn is ugly, we can see the river for free, if he calls the turn bet we can see a free showdown. also, 22 is pretty easy to get away from if he reraises the flop or pops the turn. raising the flop seems like the best way to win the hand.
