Default PLO8 - Just looking for some feedback.

Started playing at UB again the other day (bonus jumping) and ran into an interesting example of how not to play quads. The villian (foos1) appears to be a fairly loose, passive (85% VP$IP, 0 PFR with only 20 hands in my PT DB). The table seems loose passive (38% VP$IP and less than 1 for PFR).

Here's the hand.

Just curious how other folks would have played this hand. Was my preflop call to loose?

Hopefully this link will work now.

As for the hand, the villian horribly misplayed his hand from the very beginning. The only thing he did that I view as acceptable was to bet the flop and he probably should have bet bigger IMHO.

Curious, would anyone have dropped this hand prior to the river or do you believe I was justified in hanging around?

PF action seems fine. I would not lead at that flop. A competent player will take your $1 plus what's in the pot right there. That flop is a disaster for you, I'd be leaning towards a check-fold barring any specific reads; you only stand a chance at half the pot (very slim chance at 3/4, full) if an improbable board fills out.

Preflop was good, flop was nasty, I'd be looking for reasons to fold here.

No idea what the quads guy was thinking knowing he'd only get called by something that a) beats him b) splits the pot

God bless these people.

Are you saying I should have folded the to the min bet on the flop? My draws were so-so, A4 low draw, oe str8 (non-nut) and oe str8 flush draw but I thought they were worth a check/call, same for the turn. Any action (larger bet/raises) and I would be out of this hand.

As it is, I called $3 in bets to win $90 to someone that just horribly misplayed their hand. Was I lucky, yes. Did I play the hand badly, I don't think so but just curious on other folks take.

The play does sound a little loose.

Exactly how I would have played it.

Ah, I misread the hand (this happens sometimes when you post a link to the HH, forcing us to flip back and forth). You played it fine.
