#1.
a. I am not going to tell you how bad the preflop play was because im sure you already know that was over the top, right? Unless you had a read on him.
b. Yes you should check/fold this flop. With one over card go ahead and bet but KQ is way too much.

#2. This happens quite often. Do you have a read on him.
He could either be pushing to get you off your hand with 1010-JJ, AQ-AK. Pushing because he thinks he is a 50 50 at worst, AK. Or even pushing with AA-KK. I dont think you can get away from this hand without a read that says to fold.

#3. Fold, there is nothing you are ahead of here. Unless you have a read.

#4. Fold

#5. There are many ways to play this, all of which have their risks(button folding) and rewards(chips gained in each specific situation). Its pretty hard to play this one wrong, nh.

OK, that's a lot of hands to be posting in one thread. I think you'd be better off putting them in their own.

These are just one man's deeply flawed opinion, so please wait for someone better to come along and chime in before accepting these as gospel.

Hand 1: I usually lead the flop after defending PF, no matter what comes.

Hand 2: An UTG reraise usually means AA or AK. I fold the queens.

Hand 3: Tough spot to pick up AQ. You are OOP and have 13x the BB. I think you can fold this and feel good about it.

Hand 4: It depends, do you feel like flipping? Unless villain has 22, 33, or 23, you are looking at a race at best, and an overpair at worst.

Hand 5: Figure this out, and you will be a poker god.

hand 1 fold pf. you have too many chips to push, button has you covered, and your position after the flop sucks.

2, call. u are getting the right odds at this point to call with any 2 cards. If you dont know that yet, move down to $11's and study more. not kidding

3. fold, your beat, probably in 2 places.

4. 33 is great to push with, lousy to call with. At best you 50/50 at worst 80/20.

5. you cant make him, but if you check he may try to steal the pot.

This is pretty basic stuff. If you dont know it yet, and money means anything to you, please do yourself a favor and move down to $11's and study more. If the money doesn't matter and it's recreation to you, please move up to 109's and play at my table.

we all start somewhere and learn this stuff, but 55's is an expensive place to learn.

yuk, start from the beginning, build the pot total and look at the odds, it's huge, you cant fold QQ for 615 chips into a 1390 chip pot

I didn't even look at the stacks. This is what I meant by "wait for someone better to chime in."

Thanks for pointing it out.

But indulge my ignorance for a second. If we assume villain has AA/KK this would be a bad call, because you are a 4:1 dog, correct?

how high a percent can you put on that read though. He can have lots of different hands there, not just the ones you worry about. A weaker player will play AK, AQ, 88-AA exactly the same in that spot, they will push so they dont have to play postflop. Thats why you call with those odds, you can never be sure enough on your read to overcome your advantage when your wrong.
