Default WPT

The episode of the WPT today made me want to quit playing poker forever.

It was the wildest WPT final table ever, so wild that it tightened Gus up considerably!

This is the first time I have ever been angry after watching poker on TV.

I enjoyed watching the first hour and 50 minutes with Gus. He put on a clinic, as usual. I'm always impressed with his ability to get money in the pot as a favorite and keep it out when he's behind.

No, the real reason Gus tightened up is because he owes Shana Hiatt $950k. And there is also speculation that he owes Vince Van Patten $500.

I agree. I think if I ever see that guy, I have to punch him in the face.

Really? You must not watch the same Gus that I watch....Like the time he sucked out on Freddy Deeb...or the 10,8 vs Antonio's pocket sevens...or virtually every hand on Poker Superstars I.

Not discrediting his play, just saying your statement is more than inaccurate.

OK, I'll bite (I've re-read the post, and if there's a jopke there, it flew right over). According to PokerStove, T8 is not a favorite over 77 pre-flop.

The only two non-pair hands better than 77 pre-flop are JTs & QJs (regardless whether they share a suit with one of the 7's or not -- very close at 49.45% to 50.55%).

BTW, does anyone play at the Garden City in SJC? That's where Danny is a dealer, right? (I think I've seen him there before).
