Default 88 post flop play

I've raised with 88 on the button. Flop comes in 4h, Jd, 7s. I've bet the pot on the flop. I've been called. Two callers. Now what ?
Lead again? for how much??
check?

Woudl the play be different with just one caller?
I often get sucked into this vortex. Throw me a line.

check and fold with two callers.
with one caller its usually the same.
remember:
with small pocket pairs you are looking for a set.

Check behind on the turn and fold to any sizable bet on the river. HU maybe you value bet the river, but with two callers I'm not investing anything else unless I spike an 8.

there is never a standard line, its always depending on the people that are still in the hand. for better answers, you need to give more detail.. reads, stack sizes, your image, etc...

I think we need stack sizes & more specific action to really evaluate this hand. Who did what when?
