Default Turning $25 into $1k in one week.

Got a free $25 put into my Empire account to get me to play there again. So I ran it up to about $100, then transferred the $75 over to Party. Now grinding my way up from the 10s in an effort to turn the initial $25 into $1k in one week.

Two days in and I am 1/5th of the way there. W00t.

Anyway, I used to play 55s and 109s, so it's been a while since I've played any 800 chippers.

What do you make of these hands?

Is this standard? Seemed like it at the time, but not so sure now:

Level:8 Blinds(200/400) - Saturday, December 17, 18:43:49 EDT 2005

1) eww. I don't like that at all. You'll still have 1400 chips if you fold. I would wait and hopefully get a chance to steal either next hand or the hand after.

2) I think I fold this one too.

Good to see you back...

I don't understand hand one at all. You have ZERO FE and you're trying to get heads up with pocket 3's. There's always a chance that the BB will pick up a hand and decide to tangle with the raiser.

There is no huge stack here. This seems like a classic, "fold now, push later" scenario. Maybe I'm missing something, but I think you were fortunate if this worked out for you.

I'd fold both these hands. In the first one if he was SB and you BB.. then I might really consider going to war against him, but not here.

Good to be back. Thanks for the reply.

My thinking at the time, was that I only have ~4X BB.

t1600 in the pot, and my stack is ~t1600, so I've got a chance to double up, with a probable coinflip.

This seemed like a reasonable chance to take, especially since I play for first. In retrospect, however....

You should not be looking for coinflips on the bubble.. c'mon surely you know this. Not unless it's REAL desperation and here it's not.. your equity is still good even if your stack-to-blind ratio is not.

Generally speaking, low PPs have no place on the bubble in low FE situations. Hasn't been THAT long since you played??

It's been long enough. Glad at least part of me thought it was stenchy.
