Re: KK in MP
I would cold call and see what the turn action is like.
You could very well be up against AQ or KK...but I think the odds of 10 10, QQ, AA are pretty good. On this board, I think this is a hand you want to showdown cheaply. |

Re: KK in MP
Run away. If you're not up against a set, you're up against aces.

Re: KK in MP
Another toughie. I'm tempted to call down praying for a raised Q for isolation and an over-played AQ. But I think I come to my senses and muck.

Re: KK in MP
Reads? Is SB an idiot or does he have QT, TT or 77? MP1 is problematical since you are behind AA and QQ and he's 3-bet you. Does he bet JJ here after you pf capped and led the flop? With no reads I think you need to call here and hope to improve on the turn.

Re: KK in MP **RESULTS**
I had no reads on either player, but felt that the 3bet preflop was either AA or QQ.

Re: My thoughts
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls, Hero raises, 3 folds, SB calls, 1 fold, MP1 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls, MP1 calls. MP1 has "checkraised" me before the flop. Most likely he has AA or QQ. I discount KK for obvious reasons. Since only one hav beats me, it's an easy cap. Flop: (13 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, SB raises, MP1 3-bets, Hero folds, SB calls. Well, at least I will know where I stand. It's checked to me and then check raised and check-REraised. So there are two players both coming back after I've shown strength. One has to have a set or at least AA. Turn: (10 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, MP1 bets, SB raises, MP1 bets $8.25 (All-In), SB calls. Turn would have given me a straight draw. But it doesn't matter. I feel better about my decision. River: (14.12 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: 14.12 BB Results in white below: SB has Jc Ac (one pair, jacks). MP1 has Qc Qd (three of a kind, queens). Outcome: MP1 wins 14.12 BB. I'm pleased with my read about MP1, but confused my SB. And unfortunately, he left soon after this hand. |

Re: KK in MP
without a read this is tough. so many douches limp reraise stupid hands, and I hate to get pushed off my kings. But the action is telling you you are beat so folding is prolly the wise play

Re: My thoughts

That's all he had left. The raise to him was $8.00 and he had $8.25 still in front of him. |
