parlaying bets
Im looking to blow a few bucks trying out betting on the playoffs and I was thinking about making this bet for tomorrows atl v. hou game. Hudson -1.5 2.9 and game total under 7.5 1.7692. just to make sure I know what I betting on, it's that the braves win by 2 and the total score in under 8, it that right? also I have the option of parlay odds of 5.1307, does that mean if i get them both right I get paid that? and if so what the down side to that? and lastly does this look like a decent bet? thanks for the help!

Re: parlaying bets
You'd be betting that the score goes under 7 not 8.

Re: parlaying bets
Giving 1.5 runs to Pettite is -ev, espicially at that price.
Dont bet the parlay, bet em seperately. Atleast you have a chance, even if it's not at a good price. |

Re: parlaying bets
[ QUOTE ]
You'd be betting that the score goes under 7 not 8. [/ QUOTE ] This is 100% inaccurate. Why not keep it simple? The total is 7½. If it goes under that (1,2,3,4,5,6,or7) you win. If it goes over that (8,9,10,11,etc) you lose. When it's a low-scoring game, it's easier for that team with the +1½ to stay close. In this case, if the team you are betting against scores at least three runs, you lose. You're really painting yourself into a corner. Take the fav, take the under, even take the -1½. But don't parlay the -1½ to the under. Parlaying -1½ to Under11 is bad; parlaying -1½ to under7½ is awful. |
