Default Does anybody have a fax machine for poker purposes

I am going to buy a fax machine in the next five hours. I want to start casino and bonus whoring aggresively. I figured that with all the documents that are requested it will save me a lot of hastle. I have to fax some items to school as well and am 1 year away from my business degree so having a fax machine won't hurt in the future either.

I would appreciate if anybody has any advice or recomendations. If it is completely stupid I trust you will let me know as well.

Thanks
Mother Brain

You can use a 56K modem as a fax machine with the right software.

But I still gotta get the picture in there right. What do people do take a digital picture of the documents then send them over modem?

Set your fax software up to answer incoming calls. Fax all the relevant documents to yourself once, and store the incoming faxes ready for forwarding to whoever.

Brilliant. I think that may be better.

Now if somebody can just chime in and tell me the fax software is freeware and i'll be all set.

Are you using windows?

start> programs> accessories> communications> fax

Also you can buy a printer/scanner combo (they're uber cheap) or pick up a new scanner for $50 or less. A fax probably couldn't scan stuff like an ID card.

Assuming, of course, that you have a scanner.

I scanned the necessary documents once a year ago, and now just mail in them as necessary.

A combo printer/fax/copier/scanner could handle everything being discussed except scanning a photo ID. The answer to that is to make a copy of your ID at school/work/Kinkos/etc, scan the copy into your computer, and save it.

FAX machines are going the way of the Teletype. I got rid of mine three years ago. For confirming ID to poker sites, just scan the documents and e-mail them. For future business use, don't even bother.
