I seem to remember this coming up before, and I think that the $1 hand fee for this particular casino means "$1 every time you want cards dealt to you" not "$1 per pot".

Basically, it's horrible.

So it's more like, "That'll be a dollar for that 7-2 I just dealt you. Thank you, sir." If so, it's beyond horrible.

If it's the same place that was posted about before it's, "That'll be $1 if you want to be dealt into this hand at all."

I played at Bellagio this past weekend with an Aussie guy, and he told me that's how it is in Australia. Pretty draconian, and probably an unbeatable structure.

You are correct. It's $1/hand/player.

There was some joint in the midwest doing that plus $3 or $4 max rake on the game. Why anyone would play is beyond me.
