Default Flush Draw Out of Position

Villain is new to the table - no reads.

PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero raises, CO 3-bets, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets , Hero calls.

Turn: (4.70 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets , Hero calls.

River: (6.70 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero ....

I was considering a bet at the end; how often do you think that would work? Would anyone c/r the flop and bet the turn here?

I would usually check-raise the flop and bet the turn. Given that you didn't, check-fold the river.

That would be one of the 2 lines I would normally take. But how often am I getting 3-bet pre-flop by overcards and how does he have an over pair?

Are you doing this trying to get him to fold? If so, how often does this type of semibluff work against a 5/10 unknown?

Betting the river here would be pretty bad. A big ace will call you here like 99.9% of the time. The only way you win by betting is if he 3-bet you with somthing like KQ.

Often enough at 3/6. I'm new at 5-10 but hoping same principles apply.

Hero indeed checks the river, villain checks behind and tables AJ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and MHNG.

c/r the flop - lots of flush and overcard equity

b/c the turn - possibly get him to fold overs and we still have over and the big fd

c/f the river - if the dude has not folded yet then I'm not sure he is folding now. I think there would be a better chance if you took the more aggressive line above, but not sure how good you are.

I think you have a better chance of taking down the turn.
