Default Is this proper use of a blocking bet?

The only reason I played this hand OOP against a raise was the great pf odds. I really never felt comfortable betting this hand on any street as I was afraid of AK, however I felt like I was in control of the pot size. On the river I decided to bet the most I would want to commit and fold even to a minraise. I thought checking may induce a bigger bet from villian and make a tougher decision for me. Was my line ok?

Played exactly as I would have done - but that doesn't mean it's right!

I think you are probably beat by AK here.
