Default what should be my second book ever?

hi all,

with christmas approaching i am going to put a poker book on my family 'christmas list' and get hooked up. the only poker book i own so far is sshe which is awesome and i've read it a ton of times and i 'get' the concepts. i play micro/low limit holdem, usually .5/1 and now 1/2. i hope eventually to move up more but not for a little while. anyway my question is could you guys recommend what would be a good "second" poker book that is badass like sshe is--about poker theory, limit holdem, concepts, whatever subject you guys think best. i and christmas really appreciate it, thanks. I'd try the second edition of the Lee Jones book if you like Limit Hold'em.

Theory of Poker, Weighing the Odds in Hold'em by Yao, Psychology of Poker by Schoonmaker, Inside the Poker Mind by Feeney, and Real Poker II by Cooke.

Pick'em. All good.

only 3 recommendations;

Hold em Poker for Advanced player Sklansky,Malmuth
Winning Low limit hold em Jones
Theory of Poker Sklansky

If you told me that you never read a poker book before I would tell you to get TOP FIRST. Now that you tell me you are already in there mixing it up at 1-2. if you are playing in a REAL CASINO live or are going to stay at .50/1.. My immediate recommendation for a studious player is WLLH. The book best describes live play at 4-8 or .5-1 on line (loose play). Once you get to 1-2 you find more grinders bonus whoring and I would switch my choice to
HEPFAP.

Weighing the Odds in Hold'em by Yao; very good book but too advanced for a micro player, save this for your 6th book or when you hit 3-6
Psychology of Poker by Schoonmaker You need technical texts first.. book 8
Inside the Poker Mind by Feeney same as before book #7
and Real Poker II by Cooke. sorry never read it, dont own a copy.

Bad advice imo, HPFAP is way to advanced for most of the players at 1/2, if not all of them. You will end up spewing chips making the correct play, (or would be a correct play at a limit such as 15/30). Most of the players just play their own cards, they never think about the opponents possible range of hands and therefore HPFAP should be saved to read until you reach limits online such as 15/30 or above. Weighing the Odds in Hold'em Poker (which I am reading now) Is way better suited for 1/2 online than HPFAP is, it is an intermediate level book not an advanced book.
