Default Re: Strange Definition/Good Lord...get real

I didn't know "all the time" meant 12.4% of the time.

New dictionary? NO, what you do need is to not be so freaking literal. Give me a break!!!! Geez. "All of the time" in this context simply meant that it happens quite often in the poker world, not that one person playing a hand would win with 72 against AA "ALL OF THE TIME". Good lord, do you sit around analyzing the crap out of the odds of whether a pea will stay on your damn fork? You really need to review some writings on someone with a life and then go out and get one. I post something that I found astonishing and very rare and you start analyzing what I have to say about it? Simply amazing.

Default Sorry

Probably just read too many "I hate pocket aces" posts and took it out on you.

I disagree.

First, nobody else has a playable hand. They will not flop a nut low draw guaranteed. They will not flop a nut flush or nut flush draw guaranteed. This should be raised and in theory everyone else should fold.

That's an interesting point although it seems to me that if you always need an ace in your hand to call a raise, you're playing a little too ABC.

Certainly, in a loose game like this one obviously was, the muck is 100% clear. It's likely you'll have to show down the best hand to win and the odds of AAAA beating 5-6 hands, even if they're random hands, have to be vanishingly small.

That tourney number is one of the freeroll tournaments on PokerStars. Some people play every hand in those tourneys. They are usually out quickly. Some of them get lucky and catch a few hands, then start raising pre-flop every hand.

I don't play O8 very much, but I can't think of a hand that I call a raise with that doesn't contain an A. Could you give me an example? Maybe KsKcQsJc... there aren't too many playable hands though...

However, having said that, you are right... if the game is loose this hand looks a lot prettier then it is... and it should be mucked.

Just My Thoughts,

Default You meant \"Tournament Hand Play not to be Believed\"?

You blew off almost 10% of your chips in a TOURNAMENT, a high/low OMAHA tournament no less, so you could "prove" that you have 4 Aces dealt to you?

I'm sorry- was the point of your post to show how STUPID you could be?

PLEASE tell me I'm missing something here.... because you're right, I can't believe it.

Are you telling me you're putting money into the pot preflop with this hand against ANY field?

Am I missing something here, or does O/8 play differently where you are than where I am?

Or am I just tired?
