Default SNG power tools calling ranges

I am going to adjust the calling ranges in power tools which I think (and Eastbay agreed) are a little tight, especially for the 55s. the Default is

tight 4.08%
Average 8.65%
Loose 13.2%
Maniac 23.4%

I was thinking more like

tight 10%
Average 20%
Loose 35%
Maniac 50%

Does that sound about right? I know 50% seems like a lot, but I've seen worse, especially heads up and I don't think most people should fall into maniac category, which is what I set it to to do all my calcs these days.

I find it easier to deal with specific hand ranges, rather than percentages. Most of the opponents you see (especially at the 55s and below) aren't going to know the K-S chart or anything like it. They just know that their hand has an ace, two cards the same, or generally looks pretty.

I agree, but thought I would post precentages to make it easier. Here are the actual hands if that helps.

tight = 10% = 55+,ATo+,A8s+,KQs
average = 20% = 33+,A4o+,A2s+,KJo+,KTs+
loose = 35% = 22+,A2+,K5o+,K2s+,Q9o+,Q8s+,J9s+
maniac = 50% = 22+,A2+,K2+,Q4o+,Q2s+,J8o+,J5s+,T9o,T7s+,98s

All other things being equal I would say something along the lines of the following would be closer to accurate (and I changed the grouping names too):

very tight = 6%
tight = 12%
average = 20%
loose = 30%

I agree that the presets in SNG Powertools is too tight. It would be nice (in case East Bay is listening) if you could configure what these values were set to.

Also, adding a couple of more presets would be nice - one set to about 50% and one at 100% (if the player is blinded in or otherwise forced to call with any 2)

You can configure what the buttons are set to. Just right click them. You can't add buttons though, but if you click on the text box you can add as many ranges as you like, then just right click again when using it to choose one.

lol... I guess I should read the instructions before posting suggestions! Thanks for pointing that out.

Eastbay, if you would add an additional button in one of your upcoming releases that would be cool.

Five buttons is a possibility, but also note that you can define as many ranges as you like by right clicking over the range text box.
