Default what to do in Philly?

I'll be going to Atlantic City for a little bachelor party but we are thinking about doing a day trip to Philadelphia since it's my understanding that there's nothing to do in AC but gamble (not that there's anything wrong with that). Could anyone suggest the best area to hang out in Philly (ie an area with good restaurants, bars, nightclubs, gentlemen's clubs, etc...). You know the deal. TIA

Eat Cheese Steaks...

seriously, the first time I visited Philly I went on a "Cheese Steak World Tour". I ate at like 6 different places in 2 days. Then went home and proceeded to camp out in the bathroom for 2 days (Sorry, too much information!).

My favorite spot was "Ishkabibbles" on South Street, got the Chicken Cheese Steak along with french fries and cheese...

Go to Abner's for some good cheesesteaks. Or come to Spruce/37th-34th for the best food trucks ever. Then spend the day in Rittenhouse Square.

Dave and Buster's is fun. Don't know where you are from, but being from KC (where we have no Dave and Buster's) it is a cool place to spend a few hours.

If you want a nice place for dinner, but don't want to spend Morimoto's-type money, I'd recommend Alma de Cuba on Walnut St. Great food, great drinks too.

Stephen Starr restaurants are largely overrated IMHO but Continental is worth checking out.

Honestly, the best thing to do is visit the historical area. Philly sucks for the most part.
