This was an interesting hand. I noted a few interesting things to come up with my river decision.

1. my opponent is more likely to be bad due to his smaller chip stack.
2. My opponent is also likely to be bad for open limping on the button.
3. My opponent is representing some kind of slowplayed hand, by calling the flop and turn and springing to life on the river. Its unlikely that the queen of hearts helps them too much, because they would probably have raised at many points if they held AQ, and I am not giving them credit for a backdoor flush draw, since it makes no sense.

Ok, so now once I realize all of this, its important to determine whether they really are slowplaying or not, with the assumption that they are a relatively unsophisticated player. When a player like this slowplays their plan is as follows:

1. Flat call a bet on the flop, in order to extract more money from you later in the hand.
2. Flat call again on the turn, hoping you will keep firing again on the river.

Once these two things happen, and you suddenly check the river, you are now announcing that your hand isn't really so great, and if they are slowplaying, these types of players will not be likely to push all of their 600 chips into a 500 chip pot. Since they are a "slowplayer", they will be more likely to make some 150-250 sweetener bet, which is consistant with their earlier play.

So once the guy suddenly decides that now they should bet 600, I decided that there was a good chance they didn't have a huge hand, as this bet was very inconsistant with their earlier play, if they could beat my hand. I called and I believe they had something like A6 and I won a huge pot right away.

Thats deep ... nice hand.

Would you have called a bet of 150-200?

Yes I'd call that too, his slowplaying would have worked
