Default $10 SNG question

Blinds are 75/150. I'm in first position with ~1000 chips. I pick up J9 suited. Should i push this? or wait for a better spot? What about a hand like K6 suited?

How many people are left in the SNG? Are you on the bubble? I think that makes a difference.

I would fold both J9s and K6s here.

not UTG, maybe on the button, but I think you can find a better spot.

While it is nice to be the first one to show aggression in a hand you are probably better off waiting until you can be first to enter as the button or have better hole cards. I would fold both.

Highly dependent on how many people are left to act behind you and relative stack sizes.

If blinds are short and pot committed, then no. If blinds are big stacks and fairly loose, then no. If this is anything more than 5-handed, defininite no. If you JUST reached 75/150 blind level, then I also lean towards a no.

Opponent stack sizes are pretty important here too. I like J9s more than K6s.

If you've been quiet for a while, it wouldn't be the end of the world to try and keep your nose above water with a steal here.

However, it would be a very situationally dependent play. How soon are blinds going up? Are there two other short stacks or are you the short stack? Lots of variables...

In first position these are easy folds.
