Default Combatting the Ed Miller approach...

I have been noticing a lot of people as of recent buying in for the minimum at party 25NL and I believe it is a result of ed miller's new book, which prescribes a short stacked, algorithmic method to playing NL hold'em. It seems however, that this is an easy stratedgy to combat, because as soon as one of these "short stackers" pushes all one would have to do is check their position and read the hand which corresponds to it, and then approach the push accordingly. Does this sound like a viable way to combat this new phenomenon?
