No it isn;t. THere are plenty of economists who believe that minimum wage laws can be approporiate. "The primary problem is that minimum wage laws eliminates jobs. This is a near indisputable fact." Possibly. On the other hand when the UK introduced minimum wage laws employment didn;t go up, and there have been many examples of country's with minimum wage laws with close to full employment.

I guess I thought some of the things you left out count as "primary". Semantic differences, perhaps. "I think you will agree however that the current purviews of the federal government stretch far beyond the primary purposes I named, as well as far beyond the additional things you mentioned."
