Default Thanks for the ride home that morning...

from the Grand when I was too hungover to see, fish! Best of luck to you.

As a side note, I've been playing more on-line and much less Tunica B&M since they all went to the unforgivable $4.00 rake.

When did this happen? It was $3 rake on 20-40 last time I was there...I thought it was the deal of the century (esp. compared to AC's $7 per half hr time charge).

I think you just made the point I was about to make. We went up to $4 the beginning of Janurary. $4 is still less than most, if not everywhere else in the country. We are in the process of expanding our room and making it better for the player. I don't think $4 is too much for what Horseshoe offers it's players. We comp food to everyone that plays. Not just a hot dog. FOOD. The snack bar is awesome. Even Doyle himself raves about the Horseshoe buffet, saying it's the best in the country. Room rates are $25 durring the week and $35 on weekends. You do have to book a room in advance, because in all fairness, we are a very busy room. At first glance when you hear the dreaded "raise the rake" statement it sounds bad. When you see in comparison what Horseshoe offers and put side by side rake vrs. return with other cardrooms across the country Horseshoe is hands down the best deal around.

I don't think this can be emphasized enough. The horseshoe snack bar has always been my favorite place to eat in tunica. It's better than awesome, though the grease quotient is pretty close to leathal.
