Default AK PP100NL, how\'d I do?

Villain in this hand, a half hour prior, gave me his entire stack with K9 vs. my 66 on a 26K,K,4 board. But other than that he really hasn't stood out (I gotta stop watching TV when I play). I question all streets. All comments appreciated.

If you're going to reraise preflop, make it a real reraise and not a puny barely-more-than-a-minraise reraise.

You need to raise more preflop with a premium hand. A (basically) minraise does nothing here. Be aggressive and take control of this hand. Also, your flop bet was a little weak. Bet slightly more than half the pot on the flop. You don't want to give this donk the odds to call. The only real hand you need to worry about is a set.

I agree...I like about 3 to 4 times what they bet....lets you see where you stand.

with that raise, I would half pot that flop. then end up all in on the turn when the King hit and he comes out swinging...2 pair would be unlikley with him raising, then your good sized reraise, and he has shown he will call all his stack when behind.

I'd play it the same way....if he's got 2 pair or a set oh well, but you've got tptk and you know he's a donk...i think you have to call here, although I don't particularly enjoy it.

Preflop raise was weak. I raise on the turn when my K hits.

Donkey may have been playing something like KQ or KJ and he hit on the turn also, but you have him crushed. Make him pay for that last card. You lose to a set, but that's life.

I think he may have you beat with a set. I don't see him calling on the flop with KQ KJ and just 2 overcards. Then he leads out on the turn when a card hits that likely helps you hoping he will get raised, if he has you on AK.

I don't know though. Maybe I'm giving a guy who lost a huge portion of his stack to you too much credit for a hand.

Is that really the way I should be going about hands like this?

I agree that the PF raise should be to something around $12, and that'd completely change the way this hand went post-flop, but aside from that.

You mentioned that if he has the set or two-pair, then it's just part of the game. Should I be looking out for sets, because they've been killing me for the past week and a half, but I also know I've been on cold cards for the whole time.
