Default 22 in the BB(6max 1/2)

MP1 was your regular run of the mill passive. SB was unknown, 10th hand at table.

1/2 6-max(5 handed)

hero is the BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

MP1 bets, CO folds, button folds, SB calls, hero checks.

I probably shoulda raised here huh...

*FLOP* 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3sb)

SB Bets, hero raises, MP1 Folds, SB calls.

*turn* T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3.5bb)

SB checks, Hero ???

Bet/fold this turn, check the river or check here and call/fold a river bet?

No need for that. I'd check here all day.

Why don't you believe him? I think you can get away from this hand here.

Ugh. The only thing a reasonable person bets on that flop is a piece of it (where your screwed) or a draw, the only one being 87 (where, now, you're screwed). You might as well bet/fold and hope he was just taking a stab with nothing. But that's the last money I'm putting in this pot UI.

You may have the best hand, but the pot is a measly 3SB and with no read you are more likely to spew chips than make a profit here (just fold the flop).

If you're going to play this you have to bet the turn and fold to a turn c/r or a river bet.

*shrugs* Whenever I see an aggressive or unknown bet a paired flop and I have some piece I almost always autoraise to see what he does. I also normally autobet the turn afterwards(probably spew but...). Was just curious to see what others do.

I bet the turn and he folded. If he had called or raised I would have been done with the hand.

I don't mind this line terribly since SB is correct to bet any 2 cards here.

well he may be correct in doing so, but he probably doesn't know that, and most likely an unknown isn't bluffing often enough in this spot for us to justify raising.

An additional advantage, here, is if you let SB think he can get away with semi-bluff or full-bluff steals like this, you're going to make a boatload off him when you actually get a hand (or can represent one).
