I know it's only 72 hours, but here's an interesting article on what happens when you go longer...

I think I want to try this.

It's going to take a lot of blow to keep him up for 72 hours. He'll probably crash after about 24 hours worth of binging.

I should add that you are totally screwed without the aid of powerful stimulants. you really have no chance.

the part about how there are 7% more traffic accidents when daylight savings costs people an hour of sleep was really interesting.

after 72 hours I believe you are considered legally insane. 48 is easy, but then it gets exponentially harder. My roommate in school did it once and he was a f'ing mess. He may have dozed for minutes here and there though, so I doubt he would have won the bet. As for your bet, I am with GOT and think you will bonk at some point without drugs. You will fall asleep standing up even, start seeing things etc. And, it's gonna suck when you lose after hour 60 - that's time you're not getting back. . .

[/ QUOTE ]

This is true. I went 3 days without sleep once and I was [censored] gone. Nothing made sense.

once at my friends house when i was 10 or so we stayed up allll night playing super mario. this was back when i was in bed by 10. we stayed up playing until about 11am, and then when i got back to my house at 2pm i remember lying down on the couch and hallucinting mario. i imagined the heads up display of the game, the coins in the corner, lives, world, all that. i could hear all the coin "galing! galing!" sounds. it was totally [censored] insane.
