1. 0.15 runs 2. 1.2 runs 3. 0.21 runs 4. 0.23 runs Because Albert Pujols is Albert Pujols number 3 should be much higher, and probably ranks second on the list. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks |

In the end, all you can do is put yourself in the best position to succeed and leave it all out on the field. Blaming failure on umpires/officials is just stupid. Sure it sucks, but what're you gonna do? And it's DEFINITELY not the umpires fault in this instance that the 'Stros are down 0-2. They've had PLENTY of opportunities in the series to win both games and haven't produced or performed. Blaming the umpires for their loss(es) is bush league. GoT [/ QUOTE ] This is refreshing to hear. |

I agree. It shouldn't be MLB or Bud Selig's choice. It was our tax dollars that paid for the stadium, not his. If we have to play in a freezing downpour because Chicago is too stupid to build a roofed stadium ( I guess they just never expected to be playing in October), then we should be able to have our roof closed when we come home if we wish. Seems as if MLB is trying to give the White Sox every advantage possible in this series. [/ QUOTE ] Please, shut up... |

[ QUOTE ] But please don't go on with the MLB "plot." It's really beneath a good fan, which I think you might be. The Astros can't let a call become the excuse on which they blame everything. [/ QUOTE ] Funny, this is pretty much exactly what every Astros fan has been doing on this board since Game 1. [/ QUOTE ] Actually there's a couple of Astros fans that are looking at this intelligently. I'm not going to group them in with the 3 or 4 that are acting like bitches. |

At least we'll see replay in baseball soon enough after this mockery of a post-season.
There should be an asterik in the record book for 2005 -- *Played With Blind Umpires. |

[/ QUOTE ] I've been gone for awhile but any Astro fan that is blaming the umpire needs to shut up. Human error in dealing with the umpires is part of the game and all those times that Biggio got hit in his career I am willing to bet a few of those probably didn't get him but he sold it well. It is part of the game. Only thing I blame the loses on is the Astros inability to execute the fundamentals of situational hitting. |
