Goot. Lead the turn then check a river blank?

I think villian is leading out with a draw given his aggressiveness postflop. I'd bet unless one is completed, then I'd c/c down. Nice raise.

EDIT: Dependant on whether or not rest of the field folds out that is.

Unless you were planning to fold, I feel that this + lead the turn is the best line to take. The flush draw makes it a little more fragile, since you may get some overcards coming along even if the flush fails to materialize.

I think villian is leading out with any 2 cards given his aggressiveness postflop. If he's seeing 64% of the flops and betting nearly 75% of the time postflop (when it's likely he hits a pair or better 40% of the time), there's an excellent chance he has absolutely nothing, particularly when checked to on the button.

Had the bet come from UTG and the other two called, are you still raising?

If it gets checked through are you leading the turn?

Wow, 75%? How do you get that figure? I know that 2.5 is very aggressive, but how do you get that specifically? Not 100% sure how to interpret that number.

I agree, I think this is good defense four handed. You won't fold flush draws but may fold overcards and gutshots.

Not to hijack the thread, but what if the flop is:
Hero checks, next bets, next calls, button calls, Hero ??

You'd just call in that case, right? Or is the raise more for value and less for protection than I am assuming?

EDIT: oops, Vibesman asked the same question above whilst I was a postin'

1) It helps that the preflop raiser is passive. And that the button is aggressive postflop.

2) I hope to limit the field. If I am behind - at least I have a couple lame b/d draws to help out.

3) If the preflop raiser had gone ahead and bet it and there was a call ahead of me - I suck in those situations.

----------------------------------------------------------

Preflop raiser is passive. 39/10/0.6.
Flop bettor/button is 64/0/2.5.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG raises, 3 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, Hero calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (9 SB) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP2 checks, Button bets, Hero raises...UTG folds, MP2 folds, Button calls.

Turn: (6.5 BB) K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (8.5 BB) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero bets...

Am I only getting called by a better hand here?
Is there any benefit in getting a draw to fold so I do not have to showdown?
