Default Bluffing Spirit Rock 25/50

3 handed with spirit rock 25/50 I hav kd 8d in SB and complete vs. him (perhaps my first mistake). flop is Qd 3d 4c, I check to him and he bets $100 as he has done the lsat 5 times in this situiatin I raise to $300 he calls. Turn is 9s, I bet $600 he calls. River is Jh I bet $1600.

He has been aggro vs. me and pushes me around and I have let him so far, I haven't been aggro vs. him stay out of pots vs him and he must know this and i've shown him a hand everytime we've played a pot so far which is not many.

I think I would check-raise bluff the river here. The problem with your line is that after checkraising the flop and leading the turn, a river check would be a great play against an aggro player like spirit rock. i dont know what level you and he are putting each other on, but he might expect you to check a monster to him and induce a bluff, and read your river bet as a missed draw.

i dont know if thats to far out...

I like it. Provided you are going to be playing SH with him for a while, this sets up a nice counter defense to his LAG style.

these hands are too hard to judge in shorthanded play.

but i think this play was +EV, although it could have been improved. id have tried to checkriase allin on the turn.

You can't find anyone worse to play than SpiritRock?

ok....first, i feel like your game selection is...lacking. :P I know post a lot of hands that people call "weak tight" and are kidding around...ive never played with spirit rock, but i have heard a lot about him, and he is a very aggressive player. why is he calling you down? if he had a draw, would he reraise, and would he flat call with a made hand? i have no idea what he has, but he might be calling you down with ace high for all i know. why would he be calling down in a pot that has so little in it? he must have hit some kind of hand, dont you think? i hate short handed NL play, its just too kooky.

This wreaks of a draw and I've seen him call down any pair when players do this to him.
