I have to go back into the thread and read most of Mason's responses - I don't think he has given the final answer - but Mason just said minutes ago that he is trying to show that AQs has a profitable strategy. I agree it has to be player dependant and position dependant. They said the new book on no limit will be very heavy on the math.

No doubt that AQs can be played profitably. However when I think about my goal in playing no-limit poker, doubling my stack, I feel that JJ has a greater potential for this than does AQs. It is quite hard to stack someone with AQs. Am I really doubling up when I make a flush? Won't any aces on the board scare off the action I'd get? Also if I am dominated or up against a junk ace two pair, I very well might *get* stacked. I feel that I can make more on my winning hands with JJ and lose less because I can get away from them.

oh, I don't think I got involved in one pot with him...I know he pulled 10s, AK, and AA out of somewhere in 30 minutes of play.
