Default Overplaying?

How awful is this? I see so many ppl go apeshit in blind defense. Is just getting to showdown a better idea here?
I can't get out of this funk, up 100BB down 100BB up 100 etc.

Unknown.

call the flop, raise one of the expensive streets. you make more vs a pair that's calling you down, and more vs a hopeless king high hand. you wont get 3bet by AQ/AK at 2/4 on the turn/river all that often, so you dont lose much more when behind

call down the turn donk the way you played it

cap preflop. you should probably be capping worse hands as well. unless this guy has you dominated significantly i think just calling is weak. of course you shouldnt always cap this against every player. sometimes you need to just call for frequency. however, capping hands in shorthanded play is going to make you fearless and its a good way to start taking control of games and crush them.

the rest is all fairly standard as long as you do know that there are other reasonable lines against certain player types.

I also think the way played, that raising flop is okay-ish, but Im calling down the turn donk.

But this is 2-4 so its probably a lot unlike 10/20, so against a fairly passive player u can consider dumping to the turn 3bet. But I dont think u can do it against an unknown (again 2/4 so I dont know how ppl run donw there)
