Re: Cardplayer article *HOT*
I never would have guessed that's she's only 25, based on her pictures. I thought she was mid-30's.

Not bad. I still like Shana and Cecelia Nordenstam better.

Re: Cardplayer article *HOT*
"former news anchor" I guess thats kind of right, she is a weekend news reporter here in the Palm Springs, Ca. area. She did some anchor work, but she wasn't very good reading off telepomter (sp?). I never use to watch the news on the weekends, but I will now.

I didn't look at the pics posted in this link...but the pics I saw of her in a couple other threads I just couldn't understand what all teh fuss was about. Just learned in this thread that she's only 25 and I too would never have guessed her to be that young. |

Re: Cardplayer article *HOT*
well...at least I got something worthwhile from this thread.
Barron is correct that the article by Dr. Al is pretty good. I'm thankful that i don't seem to have the problem of: [ QUOTE ] We all resist the idea of our own demise [/ QUOTE ] as I am VERY aware that my career as a poker-pro is extremely fragile. All the advice is good though and worth reading through REGARDLESS of whether you accept the possibility that your poker success could possibly not last as long as you think. I'm confident that I'm smart enough to continue to advance my game if I study hard enough and I'm already aware that I need to stay ahead fo the curve in order to have any chance of continued success. But Dr. Al's article is a pretty well-summarized reminder of what any aspiring or current pro needs to be doing. So...Barron and I have successfully hi-jacked yet another thread about 'Is Courtney Freel hot or not' into a side-discussion of poker-professionals need to continually work on their game and can't afford to be complacent about their skills. 2+2 threads are kinda weird sometimes. |
