He was a tell box. I love the douches who think if they shake their head and give one of those, "Oh my god, I don't want to move in but I am doing it anyway" faces, they will get paid off. Watch the hand where the tellbox had JTs and Doc had QQ, right before he goes all in, he gives this lame face like he doesn't want to. So bad...

Come on -- admit it, last night was hilarious.

Besides, just think of how many players will watch this, and decide that calling with any two is a good strategy!!

Not exactly a flash in the pan. Now if you said Car Wash Guy, or Construction Guy from the WPO in 2003 and 2004, I'd agree.

I was under the impression OP meant WPT final tables. Car Wash guy wasn't that terrible.

What kind of tournament is it that you can win, with a thousand dollar entry, and only walk off with 8,000 dollars?

I dislike seeing bad poker (i.e. celebrity events, and Martens's calling all his chips off with AQ), but I was at the taping of the final table, and every last minute was exciting and I think that's what we hope for in televised poker. There's little doubt it was the wildest table ever, as Mike Sexton says.

Danny was blessed from on high as he backed into the most remarkable suckouts, but there's something to be said for having a player as aggressive as Gus saying he felt "awkward" and off-balance by the level of aggression from Danny.

There's no doubt Danny got his money in with the worst of it many times, but that also helped him to take down huge pots when he made a hand.

There's one correct answer. His name is Paul Darden.

As for the 800k call of Gus with AQ- well, what would you expect Gus to do to you in that situation? Try to blow you off your hand which is what the Doc probably thought so I can't fault him too much for that one.

[/ QUOTE ]

I can. It was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

[/ QUOTE ]

You must not watch very much poker. Hell, you must not have watched most of that episode.
