My raise may buy me a free card should I need or want it. Not sure my raise is for value with the flush on board. Can anyone clear that up for me?

Lets see if we cand dodge a flush. Lots of action on turn and I could be against a set as well with 4 players calling a capped turn.

Its not a spade but it paired the board. Wonder if I should have raised. The pot probably splits with the same straight or I lose to the boat.

yeah you should have raised the river. if he has a boat, you are losing the entire pot to him. if he doesn't have a boat, you should raise for value. so, either way you should raise.

rest looks fine. position makes the flop raise cool.

You would have called a raise, correct? Not raising is a small mistake, but folding just because you were scared of a boat is a HUGE mistake. I'm pretty sure you would've called, but I'm just making sure.

In this case you should be scared of it, which means you should raise even more than normally. MP3 is playing like he has a set (or maybe two pair) so raise here so you can get some value out of the donks left in the hand.
