Default What book should I read next?

Here is a list of what I have read:
Hellmuth POS (Play poker like the pros)
Super system 1 and 2
Harrington on Holdem 1
Aces and Kings
Professor, Banker and Suicide King
Small Stakes Holdem
Theory of Poker
Caro's book of Tells

Reading now:
Harrington on Holdem 2
Holdem for Advanced Players

What do I need next? I am trying to focus on Limit Holdem and spend a little bit of time of NL.

I would like to get into some other games in about a year or so.

thanks for the help.

If you are focusing on Limit, I would recommend one of the following:

Weighing the Odds in Hold'em (King Yao)
How Good is Your Limit Hold'em (Bryan Jacobs with Jim Brier)
Real Poker II (Roy Cooke)

Seeing as you have completed SSHE and are currently reading HPFAP, Perhaps this would be a good time for "How Good Is Your Limit Hold'em" to gauge how much you have learned thus far.

My guess is that you don't need any more books now. You need to play a lot and reread TOP and SSHE. Repeat as needed.

I am assuming that you are playing in low limit HE games. If so, you should not be reading HFAP at this time. That book and SSHE can recommend different strategies for similar situations. Which is correct will depend on what kind of game you are playing. This is explained in detail in the beginning of SSHE. You should stick to whichever of those two books is correct for the type of game you are playing.

What about King Yao's book? I heard it is very similar to SSHE.

I understand what you mean here, but I disagree slightly. If you read HFAP, you need to understand the differences between the two types of games and not misapply the concepts. I think if you read and process HFAP within a larger context, then overall your poker will be better. But it takes work. Playing a lot is a must and reflecting on play is a must. Adding more knowledge is only detrimental if you don't/can't do anything with it or don't know when it applys.

That being said, I agree. Play a lot. Read and reread.
