Default For those of you in the Northeast...

You're the same distance from Turning Stone, Foxwoods and Atlantic City and you want to play $1/$2 or $2/$4 NL and maybe a ~$100 buy-in tourney with a weekend to spare.

Where will be the most fun?
What's the most +EV site, poker wise?
What place will cost you the least, expense wise?

So, where would you go?

Go to AC, more action than TS and much better looking waitresses (at the Borg) than FW's.

I am basically equidistant from those and it's AC without a doubt.

I'm 100 miles of Foxwoods, and they suck monkey-balls. They have ZERO poker room competition, and charge much more in rake and fees than you'd find in a location with numerous card rooms competiting for business.

Their dealers and floorpersons are a mixed bag, some can be highly incompetent. I think AC is your best bet.

My answer to all of these is Turning Stone, since I'm 20 years old.

In three weeks, I'll venture past Verona and check out the others.

I'm with you dtbog. A question for people who have played at TS and elsewhere- are the other casinos run better? If not, I don't see myself ever wanting to play live poker even after I turn 21

TStone poker room is run pretty bad in comparison to other rooms. AC, Mississippi, Vegas and Cali, and to a lesser extent Foxwoods are run a lot better.

I don't think that there is any room run worse than FW's. The TS room is not run really well either, but the people are nicer.

While I agree that Foxwoods (and almost every card room) can be run better, you have to remember that Foxwoods has far more tables than most rooms and a lot more general chaos as, well, it's in the middle of nowhere and there's no competition for the business.

I'm not sure where you think the staff isn't nice, though, while there are a few that are a bit more, shall we say, gruff, when I randomly ended up there last night after going out drinking all night, a few of the staff guys were joking around with me as they knew I was too drunk to play my regular stakes so they were calling my name out on the PA to get me to sit down, thinking I wouldn't bother to wait for easy-enough-to-beat-even-when-you're-drunk $5-10 and 10-20.

Not every casino would encourage such bad fiscal behavior on their clientele - you have to appreciate the irony of it all....

HOWEVER, onto the point, if I lived betwixt Foxwoods and Borgata, I'd choose Borgata every time.
