Can you ever fold KK preflop? NL25
Im at NL 25 with about 65 bucks, dude across from me has 45 and has been playing very solidly..
I raise my KK to 2, get reraised to 6, I reraise to 15, he goes all in ... at this point I am 90% sure he has AA ... I call anyways and get shown the news... Im not crying about bad luck, it happens, but I mean is there ever a time when folding KK can be considered sane? |

Re: Can you ever fold KK preflop? NL25
when there is raise, reraise, reraise, all-in or raise, reraise, all in
and in both cases I am still not pot committed, I lay down KK. If I raise, and I get reraised all in straight up preflop, unless if it was a limp reraise all in, I call with KK. |

i posted this question in mid/high forum a few weeks ago. we were 200 bb's deep and playing NL200 and the consensus was that i should have folded. the title was "am i sucker if..." |

Re: Can you ever fold KK preflop? NL25
To translate your betting sequence.
you bet $2 "I have AK, AQ, AJ, KK, QQ, JJ, TT ,AA" he raises to $6 " I have QQ, KK, AA, maybe AKs" you reraise to $15 " I have AA, KK" he goes all in " I'm not afraid of your AA, KK" 50% split pot, 50% big dog. I'll word it a different way. If your $15 reraise purpose was to induce him to go all in, then you should call as you got him to do what you wanted. If your $15 reraise was an information raise and in this case I think thats what it is, then I think you got the information you wanted and you should have folded. |

[/ QUOTE ] This line turns it into a fold. Max buy-in is 25, so opponent is almost twice as deep as you started. If I had only $25, I'd call without a second thought. The fact that you're deeper and that villian has been solid makes me pause here. |

I have folded KK once preflop at levels lower than 200NL [/ QUOTE ] I think folding KK preflop at lower levels is a very bad idea. More often that not you won't be shown AA. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well you would have to have a very good read to fold them. I think HERO here had a good read but chose to ignore them as the hard and fast rule that is also repeatedly reinforced by these boards is that you don't fold KK preflop at party. |
