KK PF 6 max....is folding even an option?

I usually play in the 100 or 200 NL 6 max games on Party and have found myself with KK all-in pre-flop against non other than AA at least 4 or 5 times in the last couple of days. Regardless of their stats or playing style, I have felt confident every time throwing my money in with KK. Should there even be a consideration for 100 BB fold of KK at these limits?

I've done it several times and not lost any sleep over it. I've also gotten it all in PF with KK a lot.

At these levels the only way I fold KK is if I get disconnected.

This seems to be a situation specific question. An example of when I fold:

I open-raise with KK in MP for 5BB. A new player just joined the table last orbit and he makes it 30BB on the Button. Folded to me, I fold. I'm not getting it all-in here with an unknown.

Generally I'm very reluctant to get it all-in pre-flop with KK. I certainly will if I think there's a good chance I'm ahead. Also, I think the phrase "at these limits" is overused. You should only be putting your money in the pot when it's +EV, regardless of limit. Put these hands on your PT replayer and go over each one. Learn where you made a mistake and learn what the player with AA did to fool you. Learn how to play AA so you can trap KK. Study and learn.

What's +EV at 25NL may not be at 200NL. The players are different.

I'm pretty sure that over the last 30K hands I've played that every time I've called an all-in three bet preflop with KK that my opponent had AA. In all that time, I've never folded KK preflop. Once, I flopped quad kings against the aces, but the other times I just went on to lose my stack. I'd like to say that flopping quads was because my skills at poker were better than the guy with aces, but that just isn't the case, now, is it?

I realize this KK question comes up a lot and it actually has its own section in the FAQ post, but I think I'm going to start reconsidering my "Never fold KK preflop unless you hate money" philosophy. I mostly play NL 100 on party, full ring, and I just don't see full stack, regular players going all-in 3-betting with anything other than AA.

Now, if I suspect that the villain is a loon, or he is playing "short stack" poker with 25 BB at a 100 BB max buy-in table, then I insta-call every time.

You really should not fold KK 6max or even full game, unless you have extraordinary reads. Your simply giving up too much to fold KK. AA vs. KK is one of those unlucky things that happens. I am pretty sure that you will lose more folding the best hand than you lose in those rare times you are up against AA. Put the money in the center and hope he doesnt have AA. Tournaments are a way different case, and folding KK is sometimes the correct play.

Do not fold KK preflop. Only one hand is better. Seriously its about 1-25 or 1-50 (I forget its in HOH) someone has AA if you have KK. I think you just have selective memory. Going all in everytime is profitable. Just consider the range of hands. Unless you have a ton of stats on someone and his PFR is less then 1% im going all in everytime.

Valid point. Different players, different kinds of players, different styles. The process of calculating EV does not change and a play is either plus or minus. The process of playing the opponent and his cards will stay the same. Strive to learn and practice the process is my point.
