Also, please don't sign up with any old affiliate that spams your PM. Make a careful decision and sign up with a reputable affiliate, since this choice will likely be the ultimate choice you can make.

Everyone should follow this advise!

Just everyone chill out for a while.

Best... advice... ever.

Just be patient and let the situation play itself out. This *really* only affects people who use poker and rakeback together for a significant part of their regular monthly income (those people can worry appropriately). For those of you who take your poker and rakeback money to buy beer, CDs, TVs, DVDs, and those extra things can all calm down and relax.

Read all about the new changes at party and skins

This is off-topic for this forum, but I thought I'd link you guys to it. The lower the limit you play, the more you're affected by this.

i.e. at 0.5/1, about 50% of income comes from RB, at 2/4 about 30%, etc. etc.

if you're playing .50/1, and relying on rakeback to supplement your winnings, you're not being intelligent. bonuses >>> than rakeback, until you get up to 5/10

also, the hysteria around this is pretty funny

This is madness.

If any of you regular micro-limit posters (you guys know who you are)find an affiliate that manages RB on PP for exisiting accounts, I would love to hear from you via PM or instant messager - braindamaj19k . I haven't used RB at all thus far to make profit, but I'm sure as I move up it will become a necessity.

I think I was at the Mike O'Malley invitational 6-max table on Empire just now.

I've been following the discussion and it seems like there will be RB on PP. Obviously, new accounts will have a much easier time than existing accounts, but I think that many affiliates are working on a way for existing accounts to get RB as well.

OK- advice time. I have about $600 to deposit to play $1/2. I have no account at Party poker, Stars, paradise or anywhere other than Victor chandler/William Hill.

I currently have no rakeback deal and was going to sign up for empire to get dep bonus & rakeback. What should I do now?

Also, I'm based in the UK- does this effect anything?

If 50% of someone's income comes from rakeback at .50/1.00, then he is a crappy player. Or, more likely, he is multitabling so many tables that his win rate has plummetted down to barely above breaking even.

That is simply not true. It is totally dependent on how many hands you play and what % rakeback you are getting.
