Default A rare flop c/r with one pair (Stars 6max)

My 2nd orbit, no good reads yet. I raise my first CO with A9 and took it down. Then raised pot with AK utg got two callers and took down with a pot bet on an A high flop and I showed.

UTG posted the very last hand (bought in for 40) then raised to 4 with 77. Flopped quads and check/called 2 streets then bet 4 into a 55 pot with 17 behind so aparantely he sucks but heh it was only one hand.

Pre-flop and initial flop check certainly can be debated I'd say. What say you?

I like leading a whole lot more.

Seems like AJ folds and AK calls here. I guess you MIGHT get a nit to fold AQ.

I agree with you. Once it gets back to me I'm not c/r'ing for fold equity here, though I suppose if someone is a nit they could fold AQ and AK if they are super nit. With no reads I wouldn't expect that.

Why aren't you re-raising PF? Mostly because AQ sucks to play OOP and in a multiway pot. What is your read on UTG? Does he have AK? What is your plan for the turn if the c/r is called by everyone? You're check-raising into a field of 2 callers and the original raiser...I don't like it. Building a big pot OOP w/ an easily dominated hand is -EV.

This isn't all that interesting. Nobody shows any interest at all in the pot so checkraising is fine. You win it right there a lot of the time.

Of the checkraise. AQ is a terrible hand to do this with.
