Are there any Clubs to play poker at in DC

I can't drive to AC all the time and the last home game I recently went to just made me sick. please someone anyone is there a club for poker like a mayfair club in NY only for DC or something .. thanks for the help

Unfortunately, no. There are some home games, but that's about it. So it's usually AC or online for me.

* If anyone knows of something like this, I'm interested.

Don't they have games at the Moose Lodges/Elk Clubs/VFW and such?

Used to have action at firehalls throughout MD as well.

Really it's the nations capital. There most be someplace. Also, beware of home games in centerville Va. One got busted and there was another where everyone was robbed in the parking lot.. How do you join the [censored] Elks. do I have to wear a mouse hat when I play?

A couple of people from my home game are doing the firehouse thing. But at the heart of it, it's a charity tournament (only way it's legal), which means 30-50% of the money is taken out of the pot for "donation".

I figure, if there are DC cardrooms, they're doing a good job at keeping their mouth shut about it, which is a good and a bad thing. Mainly good. But bad because I don't know of any, and I'd be a frequent visitor.

They don't exist. I'm in AC frequently and many people from the area are as well. So people talk about games. The only games here are home games, not organized clubs. I'd LOVE to be proven wrong though lol.

There are a couple "clubs" i know of in Baltimore and the surrounding area but i've heard bad things in terms of sketchy characters playing, busts, etc.
