I also much prefer the old system. It made more bowl games more interesting. Sports talk shows were more interesting. I liked the definite bowl tie-ins - Pac 10 v. Big 10 in the Rose Bowl, Big 8 in the Orange, etc.... I hate the BCS. I would much rather have 4 interesting bowls on Jan 1 than one sometimes championship game sometime later in January.

I also agree with this, it was much better hearing sportstalk to broke down all the games and discussed various aspects of the game. With the BCS all the sportstalk is just who got screwed, and who should of gotten a better matchup.

I also liked all the scenarios, like if the #1 ranked team lost and #2 looked bad in a win over a weak team, could the #3 team get the title with a big win over a tough opponent etc.... All that goofy stuff to blather about.

You want to see the best teams in the country butt heads. You want Miami-Washington (91), USC-Texas, OSU-Miami.

The best system for CFB is bowls for money + these games between the best teams in the country.

Personally, I really like the 4-team playoff system.

FYP

Edit: After reading MyTurn2Raise's other posts on the subject, I see that the statement was intended to be against a playoff. Whoops.
