Default Plastic cards

I apologize if this question has been asked 1000 times.

For my homegame that I play 2x a week, we use bicycle cards. I'm intrested in using plastic cards, as I think they will pay themselves off over time.

What are some good cards to look for? I've played with KEM cards before, they are nice. What prices should I look for? What brands?

thanks for the responses.

If you like the feel of a flimsy plastic card, try copag or kems. If you'd rather have a card that feels more like paper, Modiano's are good.

i got two decks of Gemacos. i'm happy with them and have received tons of compliments on them. i haven't played with KEMs or Copags, but i think Gemacos are a good choice.
i've been using the same deck for about a year and they still look fine.

[/ QUOTE ]I feel like I should point out that the majority of casinos fall into that first much-maligned category. But I'm sure steveA knows best.

We started off with paper cards, but I got a set of Kem's for christmas last year.

The best way to describe shuffling them for the first time was "hand orgasm".

We play a LOT, so by now, the decks are actually pretty fried. There has been some ink that ended up on a few cards, and a noticable bump on one in particular, that I had to take them out of circulation.

Since the current state of Kem's is unknown, at best, I got a setup of Copags. While definately nice, and as stated, is the most commonly used cards in casino's, after playing with them this past weekend, I still say my vote goes to Kem.

I've played with both and we like Copags better than KEMS. The Copags don't seem to handle glare better than the KEMS. Since we've switched, we haven't had anyone at the end of the table complain about not being able to read the cards in the middle.

Other than that, the Copags seem to handle pretty much the same but are way cheaper than KEMS. Save your money and just buy Copags.

Copags, baby. Half the price of KEMs and work just fine! I actually like the feel better. They seem to be a little thicker than KEMs.

We have KEM's they are very good, high quality. If your looking long term I fail to see how you can go past them.

I love shuffling Copags. I will never go back to paper!
