I'm hoping he had a set or another JT without a club on the turn. That's an awful river card. I don't think you can Clarkmeister a maniac can you? I say check-call.

[/ QUOTE ]

This has nothing to do with Clark's theory, we have a showdown hand versus a maniac. However, he likely has a holding on the turn worth some aggression which leads us to the best river action, I feel.

Say, no SCREAM, [censored] and then bet/fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Folding to a manaic here in this size pot is silly. Even on a four flush board. Screaming [censored] is exactly what I did though.

What I meant was betting and folding to a raise would be right against most players, but I think this is a special case where I want to show my hand down as cheaply as possible.

I like a check-raise-call. I don't liek bet-calling and given that I'm checking I like my hand enough to get 2 bets instead of 1. also even a drunk retard can slow down with weak flush since you checkraised him 3 times

I think one of the signs of how far I've come in 18 months is the fact that this hands seems so straightforward to play now whereas I would have gotten every street wrong
only a year ago
.

Thanks Joe et al.

If he's raising a non-flush here, doesn't that qualify him as completely insane, not just a maniac? Do you then bet/call?

Make the question easy since you're getting to showdown, he's always betting, and he's often raising. Do you want to get to showdown for 1 bet or 2?

Default Results....

The chance he checks through (not completely insane) versus the times he still raises 2-pair here warrants a bet/call.

I say, "Aw fck! Bet." and my roomate looks like I'm crazy and does it. I start to say "he checks through too often" as the maniac raises.

I say, "fck that, call, he has two pair too often"

The maniac showed Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and we dragged it.

Later boyz, off to Vegas,
Joe Tall
