Re: Omaha 8/b....Low Limit vs. Small $$$ Pot limit
According to Badger, a good player can earn much more at pot limit than limit, that's all I know.
I've been playing the penny PLO8 on UB, and it does seem to take more skill than I have Looks to me like there is very little point in drawing. You just can't call a raise unless you really, really have it. A2 without strength in the other two cards ain't worth much. |

Re: Omaha 8/b....Low Limit vs. Small $$$ Pot limit
the real question, in terms of profitability, is how stupid the opponents are. bad players will lose faster at pot-limit, but those who insist on plays like drawing to second-nut lows tend to abandon pot-limit or learn that such a play is a mistake, whereas at limit they go on doing it.
so your opponent will make more mistakes at limit, but those mistakes are more costly at pot-limit. if you find opponents who make big mistakes at pot-limit, you're probably better off there. another factor: low-limit o/8 is very boring, where there is actually some enjoyment in playing pot-limit. |

I feel the same way you do. Pot limit just seems like more risk per hand to me.

I understand, thanks.
but I think that playing limit is fun although somewhat relaxing ( which is nice after work ), and I find playing at pot limit very stressfull even when I win. |
