Default \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/21) (1k Heads-Up) (LC)

Today's show (for those new to Live at the Bike) is a special $1k buyin 10 player, 2 team tournament. You can follow the action from 6-9pm PT at www.liveatthebike.com or by putting http://216.53.204.10/bike/bike_300.asx into your Windows Media Player or Real Player. Here's the explanation of what will be on tonight from Bart Hanson, one of the L@TB commentators:

[ QUOTE ]
Ok I'll do my best---2 teams of five players--"Mo's Nutz vs Team Action".
5 individual matches.
Each person puts up $1000 for a $10,000 prize pool.

Each match consists of 16 hands and the blinds increase every 2 hands starting at 5-10. At the beginning of the show players will cut cards to determine who on the other team they will play headsup.

The winner of each match is determined by the person with the most money at the end of each match. It doesn't matter if someone wins by $5 at the end of 16 hands or breaks a person after hand 1 all of the $1000 goes towards their team. Say Mo's Team wins 4 matches--they will have $8000 and Team Action will have $2000 going into the FINAL match. If Mo's team wins 3 and Team Action wins two Mo's team will start with $6000 and Team Action will have $4000 going into the FINAL match.

The FINAL match determines which team wins the competition. The FINAL match is a family Feud style headsup event. The person from each team that won the most in his individual match will be the team Leader and play in the Final Match. If there is a tie (for example player 1 on Mo's team busts his guy $+2000, as does player 2 on Moe's team) the team leader will be determined by who won quickest (which hand #). The TEAM LEADER can receive advice from his team on how to play hands. During the FINAL MATCH all of his team members will sit behind him and see his cards. It is up to the TEAM LEADER to make final decisions on play in the FINAL MATCH. Final match will be 5-10 blinds until 8:30 and then escalate similar to the individual matches.

The payout schedule is as follows:

Team Leader from Winning Team $2400
Other members of winning team $1800

How can one get a schedule of what will be webcast? Living close by The Bike I might want to get in on one of these games.

It's been tried before and it's tough to stick with it due to different games running on different nights.

Just show up @ 5pm with your fingers crossed and your pockets full of 100s.

The usual schedule at L@TB:

Monday limit holdem (although probably will be tomorrow night)
Tuesday $300/500 NL (5/5 blinds)
Wednesday "Whale Game" 25/50 or 50/100 NL
Thursday $500 NL 5/10 blinds
Friday $1000 NL 10/20 blinds

That's what they strive for, but the real only solid themes are the Wednesday/Friday games.
