Default OT: STTF-HUC II: Where to stay?

I was just wondering where everyone was staying. I plan on going for 6 nights and wanted to stay somewhere nice, without having to spend all my gamboling money (I don't plan on getting comps, since I'm underage). The prof in my casino management class says TI is the "best value" and it looks to have a badass nightclub so I’m thinking about staying there.. Any comments on its poker room? Just looking for some feedback.

P.S. price isn't toooo big of a concern since I'm going to pwn the HUC, which will be paying for most of my trip.

TI apparently isn't that bad of a place, and the location isn't bad either.

the problem with TI is that that [censored] show is right outside, all day every day. if you ever want to walk around, you have to budget in to your travel the 20 extra minutes each time to get from 100 feet from the door to the door.

the venetian is really quite nice, great rooms, and you can get a good deal on them as well. the location's great, but i don't think they have a poker room. not that that matters very much.

that pic looks nice, but personally i think Imperial Palace kinda looks like a dump.

Mirage offers very good poker room rates. I went a few months ago, and got rooms for $99/night, provided we played (as a room) 22 hours of poker in their poker room over 3 days. With 4 guys, that came out to like 2 hrs of poker a day, per person.

Cheapest price I could find for 6 nights at the venetian was $2332.00 including airfare. This is compared to $1400 at TI, it worth the extra $$$?

holy [censored] dude, that's a lot of money. i mean, i routinely see venetian from 99 to 199 a night, with avg prices being 149 or 179. if they're looking at charging like 400 a night, it's very much not worth it. i don't know what your airfare is like, but yeah, that's nuts. they're nice, but not that nice, of rooms. is this weekend like, a bookedish weekend out there?
