Default QQ Preflop (A Question with This Title?!?)

Commerce 20/40, 9-handed

Hero has Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the SB.

UTG raises, UTG+1 3-bets, folds to Hijack who caps. Button folds.

Hero calls or folds?

Notes on each:

BB is folding unless he has a pocket pair.

UTG seems to play preflop right out of SSHE and has a postflop game consisting of checking and calling.

UTG+1 is an extraordinarily tight player who has shown that she does NOT raise AKo preflop. I put her on AA-QQ with an outside chance of JJ and a remarkably thin chance of TT or AKs. Her postflop play is slightly better than average.

Hijack is the type of person who would cap with JTs. He plays very well postflop.

If it was a 5 bet cap, I'm not sure why you would want to cap it as you main gain additional information about the other players (if they cap it or not)

With the above being your assessment of the player who 3-bet preflop......yes. The picture in my that I have of UTG+1, says you're giving her too much credit for being able to 3-bet JJ much less TT.

If that genuinely is her range then yes, I think you should fold, especially given that she didn't just raise, she reraised.

From PokerStove:

Hand 1: 57.8767 % 57.65% 00.22% { KK+, JJ, AKs }
Hand 2: 42.1233 % 41.90% 00.22% { QQ }

Including the TT in there makes it even money, but given thats a very thin possibility...

Hand 1: 49.4243 % 49.21% 00.22% { KK+, JJ-TT, AKs }
Hand 2: 50.5757 % 50.36% 00.22% { QQ }

there are two other donks in the hand, and hero is in the sb....hero doesn't need > 50% equity vs the pf-3bettor to call.

congratulations you found one of those rare times where it's correct to fold QQ preflop in a limit hold em game.

the answer is clear because of what you say about utg+1. you are a dog and getting incorrect odds, you must fold. it would be a more interesting question if utg+1 would reraise with jj, ak, and maybe tt. also if one other player had entered, or you knew bb was coming in, then it is interesting, because with 5 of you in theory you can call here because of the implied odds (however, that still assumes you can not put her on only AA or KK.) with 6 even if you know aa or kk is in the utg+1, and you doubt utg raise with aq you are getting better then the correct price to call due to the implied odds. to reiterate, as explain in your post, i fold.
