Default Ax in BB

.50/$1 NL. I'm BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 limper, SB folds, I check.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet $3, limper folds.

Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Now I'm woried that limper has me out-kicked, but at the same time, I don't want to give him a free card if he has a draw or a Q, so I bet $6.

River: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I check, he bets $10. The pot is now $30. I calll, and he shows AJ.

Is there any way I could have lost less?

How many limpers was there preflop?

Anyway, a line I use a lot is check-call flop and lead a safe turn since the flop is drawish

Then usually check the river, and if he bets, that's when it really pays to know if your opponent like to bluff missed draws
