Default A Problem Understanding Party Points

I'm having a little trouble understanding Party Poker's rules concerning Party Points and why I'm not in the silver category. [I don't really care, but I'm curious.]

They way I read it I should be in the silver category.

Here's what at says at my account:

Current Category : Blue
Points required to move to:
Silver category: 6014
Gold category: 41014

Current Party Points Balance:
(After Redeems) 14249

Total Party Points Earned: 8986

You have to earn 15,000 points within a 3-month period ending 12/31/2005 I believe...

= 15,000

... and both those numbers will reset, every quarter (and your category is only changed at the quarterly evaluation)

Thats your current party point balance (All accumulations - All reductions, for all time)... ie that's how many PP you have to spend, it has nothing to do with your level.

Ok, thanks. One last question: once you reach the silver (or gold) level, do you stay there or do you have to maintain a certain amount of points periodically to stay at that level.

Thanks for the help.

15,000 points in a Qtr to gain Silver status... 10,000 points in following Qtrs to maintain it.
50,000 points in a Qtr to gain Gold status... 35,000 points in following Qtrs to maintain it.

Along with the lowered goals, since you gain regular points at the higher levels a bit faster, its actually easier to maintain, than to achieve it in the first place.
